New Suzuki SX4 Crossover?

Suzuki SX4 Crossover Good or Bad?

  • Does anyone own a Suzuki SX4 Crossover not the sport model but the Hatchback model? Do you like it? What gas mileage do you get? Is it reliable, will it last a long time, basically ...show more

  • Answer:

I have tested almost all the cars as a test engineer. The summary is that its design has many flaws and I didn't like it. I am a tall guy and I also didn't like the seating posture while on the driving seat...very uncomfortable for a peppy - zippy drive. But I would like to mention that Suzuki is the world leader in small petrol engines (like Honda is the world leader in 4-stroke engines) and its engine will never trouble you. They are well tested and proven.

Suzuki has no issues with SX4 cross over or sedan. As the other poster said, it is pure Suzuki and very reliable. Long term results are obviously not yet available.

2006 aerio sx premium. The gas mileage is way below the 31 they say it should be. I get 19 to 23 maxx. For a 4 banger that is very poor. The dealer says they can not do anything to correct it. They make it sound like it is my driving habits. I am 49 years old so you know all the auto racing I do. Plus there was a known factory problem with the rear tires wearing out just after 7,000 to 10,000 miles. They recommend rotating the tires at 7,500 so I did it myself and but the rear on the front and the front on the rear. It was then I saw the rears wearing out badly on the inside. I started calling the dealer and they told me they did not know about the wear problem. The Suzuki forum had alot of info about it so I called Suzuki in California and the called my dealer to straighten it out. Took over 5 months of calls and I but another 7,500.They did not replace all 4 tires just the 2 on the rear. They said that I had no proof that I rotated the tires so they would only pay for the rears. All 4 looked exactly the same, worn in the inside badly. Again they said I might have hit something to knock the front end out of alignment. They basically said I lied and do not know anything about my car. I have 20 years in auto body repairs including suspension repair and alignment. Suzuki sucks

it sucks and its ugly. buy a toyota instead. that one is guaranteed to last a long time and not need a lot of repairs.
