Why does asking cost so many points?

Why does asking a question cost so many points now?

  • FIRST, they cost nothing, THAN, they cost two points which I think was good, NOW, they cost five that is pushing I think.

this is so that while you ask you also answer questions, to have your point ticking upwards. It's a good thing, so that selfish people just donm't ask but also answer.

Theres probably too many questions being asked...and not enough answers. They're trying to encourage people to ask less questions and answer others instead. Em x

They did it as a way to detour people from asking redundant, easily self-answerable and just random postings of things. Since it cost more to ask than you get to respond to a question, those who just post anything and everything will soon be out of points and unable to ask anymore. Therefore, people will put much greater caution into what they really want to ask verses just what pops in their head at that moment.
