Yes, turbos greatly increase maintenance costs. Partly because the extra plumbing makes everything harder to get at, but partly because they wear out, cause more heat especially to the oil, and cause more power exertion on the drive train.

When brand new, the difference was about $30,0000. Between used ones, the difference is more like $15,000. The Turbo does need more maintenance and repairs. turbo cars are less reliable than non-turbo cars. I have not heard of any major issues with the Cayenne's. Only minor issues associated with electrical features.
