    Like prior answers stated a big block will fit. I have heard that a big block Nova is a bit squirrelly to drive(I believe it was a Yenko story I had heard) Ah found it... If there were ever a car that went just a little too far, this Yenko green mamba is it. Back then, the 427 was king of the Rats, but it was almost diabolical to sell one packaged in Chevrolet's lightweight economy car. Even fringe-dweller Don Yenko termed these crossbreeds "lethal." They were capable of 0-60 shots in about four seconds; when outfitted with headers and slicks, they'd rage the quarter-mile in the high 10s. The following year, he built only the Yenko Deuce, a Nova that used the new 350ci LT1 small-block for motivation in an attempt to skirt what had become an insurance nightmare with any big-block car associated with his name.

Any Chevy big block will fit. Pontiac engines will also fit as will Oldsmobile engines. There is about an 800 inch limit to the cubic inches some of these engines can be built to but of course the price gets outrageous. Probably most reasonable for the money would be the 454 Chevy or the 502 for maybe another $500.

i believe this body is equivalent to the chevy nova, and if that is the case the 69 novas came w/396s special order option, so a 396, 427, 454 are all the same big block that will fit on these motor mounts, the only problem is that the motor sits soo high that GM made a pancake intake manifold that would allow the hood to be shut, but if you are going to use a big block, get a better manifold and be prepare to have most of the carberation out of the hood
