  It's just a car. It's only as reliable as YOU are. It can't maintain itself, service itself, inspect itself, etc. All that, falls on the owner. So, ultimately, it's 100% pointless to ask how reliable a machine is, when it's the responsibility of the owner. It's pretty easy to prove, also....those that complain about their cars breaking down the most, are also the ones that complain the most about repairs, and ask for cheaper prices. Those who take it in stride, and pay what needs to be paid...even if it's oil changes every week....their cars last. Also, having a Toyota engine in a Pontiac doesn't matter in the slightest. It's just a pile of metal. Mitsubishi has Chrysler engines, some Dodges have Mitsubishi engines...it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference.
