    Engine rebuild. Go see what a remanufactured long block would cost. You could use the same oil pan and valve covers on the motor you have. Also the distributor and carb need to be rebuilt. Might be hard to find a performance intake manifold. A motor that old needs to be rebuilt.

The problem is with a 6-cylinder I think you will be hard-pressed to find any performance parts at all for this engine. You could put a high-flow performance exhaust on it but that will only help a little bit, if at all. If you can pull the 6 cylinder out and put in a 350 V-8, performance parts for those are everywhere.
