i have a 94 firebird. it has 127k miles on it, my mechanic says that i have a "pretty good oil leak" other than that the engie is running well. would it be better to replace ...show more

guy....mine leaks... what you do is get brake cleaner or something that gets the oil off where ever the leak is....dry it.,. then get you some silicone son!!! let it sit for a day....or 2.... BAM good as new... and its a Firebird.... It will make it... our cars are champs

replacing an engine can be anywhere from $500-2000 in labor costs, depending on where you go. I would just fix the leak, unless the cost is too high. If you plan on keeping the car and really want another engine, then go for it. For sites, just use a search engine or www.car-part.com.
