Oh man, the 6.6L!! I would love to have a car like that. Anyways, with any older car, depending on the last owner(s). Any car, no matter how you look at it really would be the same cost and labor. Unfortunately, these cars are pretty scarce and nothing is really made for them anymore besides tires and brakes. The Trans Am is basically a upgraded or glorified Firebird. Hence, Firebird Trans ams.

The trans am is to firebird what the Z28 is to the camaro. The firebird trans am is the top performance option. Parts are no prob. Year one, F body wharehose, NPD, Amens performance, classic ind, goodmark, just to name a few that sells OEM and repro parts for these cars. For info on the car check out sites like trans am country, and even nastyz28.com. While its a second gen camaro board theres alot of second gen firebird owners there and the 2 cars are like cousins. They share the same platform/chassis, suspension, rear end, carpet, etc.
