    I had a 97 gt for my first car and I loved it. Good gas milage and it has a nice look to it. I don't know if snow is an issue but the Grand Prix does fairly well in snow. I liked my 97 so much I bought an 06 gt. I had very few problems with my 97. The only thing I had to fix was the blower fan. It was only a $70 fix. Don't buy a Toyota, Honda, nissian ect.

Get the GTP and 240 HP. I owned one for 10 years and replaced it with a 2006 GTO. Great mileage almost 30 miles a gallon at 65 miles an hour freeway driving as low as 13 in town. However it is a good transportation car. As always buy the best example you can, look at lot's of Grand-Prixs before buying.
