Will a GTP Supercharger work in my 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE?

Well, I can tell you that I put one in my 2004 Grand AM GT. I'm not familiar with the changes pontiac has made since 2000 though.

answer 1. no you didnt. they dont match up. its not possible to do. you could have supercharged your GA, but not with a 3800 supercharger. answers 2 and 3. WRONG. stock internals can handle a supercharger, or a turbo. the only thing you might want to upgrade is the fuel injectors, but its not a must. as far as the tranny goes, lol. there are grand ams with 300 horsepower and there yet to break the stock tranny. ok, back the the question. no you cant do it. sorry. you "could" swap the 3.4l out for a 3.8l. however that is a TON of work, and has only been done in 1 car that i can think of. is it possible? yes. is it practicle? no. not if your car is a daily driver. so what can you do? you can buy something you didnt even know they made. a 3400 supercharger http://www.z-spec.com/catalog http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68700 or turbo http://www.turbochargedpower.com/Pontiac%20Grand%20Am.htm bolt on, and have fun. good luck

A stock Grand Am engine can't handle a supercharger or turbocharger. You would need to make many modifications and also get forged internals. Even if you got the engine to a point where it could handle a supercharger the transmission would crap out b/c it wasn't made to handle all the extra power.
