2000 Pontiac Bonneville?

Will a 2000 buick la sabre transmission fit a 2001 pontiac bonneville?

  • i need to knw because my 2001 pontiac bonneville transmisssion is out and that is the only one i could find will the year 2000 buick le sabre transmission.. will it fit

  • Answer:

Well now, that depends on what engines we're dealing with. If its the 4T60-E transmission that was in the Bonneville, that's what you'll need. You'd be better off having it professionally rebuilt. It would cost roughly $2000, probably be warrantied for a period of time, and is almost guaranteed to last longer than a transmission ripped from a junk car. Plus, you'll know for sure that it's the right one.

It should fit - The mounts should be the only thing different. Just use the Bonneville mounts.

Yes, it will fit. You should have an eye for a tranny that has been previously rebuilt, if you are going to buy one from a wrecking yard.

Shouldnt be any problems with the year difference, should just bolt up with out any problems. Same tranny
