Is learning a second official language compulsory for Swiss primary school children?
-
If not, at what age does it become compulsory to learn a second official language? Can children choose a language other than the official ones as a second language
-
Answer:
cam's answer is correct, however there are international schools where kids focus on english and some cantons are introducing english as a second language rather than french. In general though, for german speakers, it's french, and for the others it's german.
