How to study in Switzerland?

  I think you should definitely go to Switzerland, and specifically Lausanne. Lausanne is the home of the Swiss Mediatheque and they have a copy of every conceivable movie or documentary (from all over the world, not only Swiss). Their Cinema degree is very good, the city is nice and the university is very cheap (800 pounds a year compared to at least 5000 in the UK). Lausanne is also a multicultural city and you'll be in a central position to participate in any Film festival you want (in Switzerland, Locarno and Neuchatel among others, but you'll be 3 hours away from Venice). If you want to study cinema in Switzerland, though, you'll need to pick two other 'artistic' subjects as your secondary subjects. I'd advise Art History and English, for instance, but there is a lot of choice. In Switzerland, degree and masters are the same thing - university studies are among the best in the world, and they will take 5 years (3+2). I've studied both there and in the UK, and the UK is really behind in my opinion. Also, in Switzerland there isn't all that mess about needing 'top grades', and 'being admitted', 'conditional offers' and all that cr*p. You just sign up for whatever you like and you're in!
