I have a 1 in the 1999 mercury cougar that need new headlight assemblies. will the 200 or 2001 model lights fit in the 1999.

No the headlights from the 2001 model will not fit the 1999 model. The 1999 to 2000 model headlamps are slightly different from the 2001 to 2002 model and are not compatible.
