Geneva, Switzerland food question?
-
Is there a certain dish that originated in Geneva or very close to it? Also what culture influence does it have, French or German?
-
Answer:
I don't know any genevan dishes but Papet Vaudois is from vaud which is a bordering canton of geneva. It's a dish which is basically traditional vaudois sausages( especially saucisse de choux) with a mixture of leek and mashed potatoes ( it sounds gross, but taste GREAT). Geneva's main language is French. But Genevas culture isn't very influenced by it's surrounding countries, it also has some very traditiona swiss things.
