    Madrid is full of things to do. They always push the museums firsts but think "Barrios". Each area has a different atmosphere to offer. Malasaña. is a great place to go in the evening to eat,drink and explore the hundreds of bars. Chueca is close by as you walk from Malasaña into Chueca you will find a different type of bar offering good food. It's also good for day time shopping at the market. Lavapíes is the alternative area; friendly mixed cultures with a variety of places to eat. If you like Indian food, then Lavapíes is the choice of location. You can visit Puerte del Sol day time and have your photo taken on the Point Zero Kilometres plaque. The centre of the peninsula.

There are tours, light life, and shopping. When your there its not a problem to find what interest you. I not a museums type of person so I started there by renting a scooter and seeing it close up with a dozen friends. The next day it was sailing in a boat.
