Good place to go for nightlife in spain?

Depends on time of year. Barcelona is great for nightlife all year. Coastal resorts and islands are really only an option in summer months and then they can be pretty crowded with regular tourists. If you haven't been to BCN, then I would consider it. Lots of cheap flights, cheap accommodation and lots to do. You will love it I am sure. Good mix of culture, history, festivals, concerts, clubs! And great beaches if you come in the summer. Salou and Lloret de Mar on the south-east coast of mainland Spain are quite lively - but as resorts in their own right they're a bit tacky and there's not much going for them during daylight hours. You'd be better off with one of the Spanish Islands like Majorca or Tenerife. In Majorca the resort to go to is Magaluf and in Tenerife it's Playa de las Americas. I'm making a judgement here that you want somewhere wild with exciting nightlife and a drinking culture. If you want a bit of culture and less booze then try a city break to Barcelona or Valencia.
