1.) Really hot! June/July/august are the warmest months in Spain. 2.) Get an 'across body bag' so no one can snatch it off you, put your money in a purse and then inside the bag, and keep your passport inside the zipper bit, and do not lose it! 3.) If you need to take your phone put it on international calling, some phones to it automatically when your're over there, but it's still pretty expensive. 4.) wear capri-pants and a tshirt, not shorts or a vest incase you get burned! 5.) unless you have a safe to put your stuff in, i wouldnt encourage you to take expensive items, there is alot of pickpocketing in spain. 5.) Be safe and have fun! - oh and remember to take sun lotion cause sunburn really hurts!

You didn't say where you are going, so i am assuming, madrid, barcelona, sevilla, etc.. (basically NOT the North coast)... So in response- 1- HOT HOT HOT This week is already 110 degrees in the south (ok, i admit, that is high for this time of year) 2-Bring a bag that goes over your shoulder (and wear it there at ALL times, especially when you sit down at a cafe or bar) and is not flimsy- so that it cannot be easily torn, cut. 3-Forget the phone, it is outrageously expensive. There are places that you can call from all over (like a shop that has a bunch of phone booths in it), for like 10 cents a minute. You don't have a need for a phone if you are just staying a couple of weeks. You can also find INTERNET cafe's everywhere. 4-Very Light long sleeve/leg clothing. they aren't the cleanest of animals...and you want to protect yourself from a nasty burn. 5- Forget the ipod, too much to 'tune into' in the culture that you won't need any other entertainment. of course bring a camera, but be sure to keep i close, not to set it out on a table for example. keep it in your over the shoulder bag! Crime isn't bad at all, but pickpocketing is! especially in the big cities. Be aware of anyone being too close to you, trying to give you something for 'free', or asking you for directions (don't be flattered, they really don't think you are from spain, they are just trying to distract you) Be rude! Nobody expects you to be nice! 6- Have fun, don't drink too much, don't forget your sunblock!! and ENJOY!
