Which city should I study in Barcelona or Madrid?

Where is better? Madrid or Barcelona? STUDY ABROAD :)?

    I recommend fully you go study to Barcelona. In Barcelona and Catalonia there are many vary beautiful and great places to visit and relax. In Catalonia (Barcelona is its capital city) there are many variety of places. Madrid is in te middle of Spain and it is really far of touristic places. Gary Spear talks about a dialect: In Catalonia we have an own LANGUAGE (Catalan), it's not a dialect of Spanish. But don't worry, in Catalonia we are proud of our language but absolutely all the people in Barcelona can speak Spanish and many people can speak English, because Barcelona is a great touristic place. Rafa Nadal is from Manacor, a town in the Balearic island of Mallorca.

If I was employing, as I have done in Spain, I would have difficulty in deciding between ESADE and the other. If you plan to join Opus Dei, go for the Jesuits before the Catalans! I have worked with graduates from both places. Your Spanish will be better after studying in Madrid. According to the rankings, ESADE has the edge. And yes, Manacor is Nadal's pueblo.

Which city appeals to you more than the other? Are you sure you want to study in one of the largest cities in the country!? There are sooooo many other possibilities. Are you planning on coming home fluent in Spanish? Go to Madrid. If it doesn't matter, you can go either way.

Go for Madrid. They speak castellano (normal Spanish), Which is practical in many countries. While they will speak it too in Barcelona, you will run into problems with their dialect, (catalan) if you need to work there. They can be a bit funny if you don' learn their dialect, but apart from in Barcelona it is useless to know.
