What is Costa Adeje, Tenerife like?

Answer:
Tenerife was my first ever holiday abroad and me and my partner got it on a last minute deal. We stayed in the Santa Maria Apartments in Costa Adeje. Well what can I say I just fell in love with the place. There is a small beach called Puerto Colon just down by the harbor and it is beautiful, it is really enclosed and feels personal. Also there are many boat trips that go from Puerto Colon. Just down the road now there is a new water park that is one on the biggest in the world it is called Siam Park. I would 110% go back there and are planning on next year.

Costa Adeje is a very nice part of las americas and is a quieter option. The better hotels tend to be in this area but it is ideally situated and the centre of las americas can be reached on foot in less than 15 Min's. If you are considering a trip take a look at www.holidayroomsdirect.com they have a great selection of quality hotels an apartments with discounts up to 50% off

It has some excellent hotels and good beaches. It is rather hilly so not very suitable for someone with mobility problems. You can walk to Las Americas in about 20 minutes and Los Christianos in less than an hour, or take taxis or buses of course. Plenty of shops, entertainment bars and restaurants. Beware of scratch card touts, whatever they tell you there is no such thing as an honest scratch card person, they are all involved in some sort of scam and Adeje has them at the moment. Tenerife is very warm and sunny and a great island to holiday on. The Canaries are pricier than mainland Spain though so take plenty of cash. I'm sure you would enjoy it.

Costa Adeje is the smarter upmarket end of Playa Americas but it is certainly not part of it in any way, shape or form. It is a very small bay with some luxurious hotels rising up behind it. You can walk back to Porto Colon beach which I don't rate, though the restaurants are nice at night. I have stayed in this area a few times but don't find Tenerife very attractive apart from the sunshine. There are a lot of scams apart from timeshare touts as some disreputable camera shops sell boxed cameras looking like the real ones you have looked at in the shop, but when you get home you may find the contents are just cheap copies. Beware! Same applies to mobile phones etc.
