Gifts for a Spain host family?

Here's the thing: Most things are widely available, these days. You want to get them things they can't get from the internet. Try something hand made...there are always craft markets out there, some malls have permanent ones, where local people sell their hand made things. Food (when transportable, legally) from your area...things like local huckleberry jam or whatever, that they just won't be able to find online. Or something very personal for the familly...they love to have things they can display! A hand-made photo frame from some sort of local materials, then, while you are there, have a photo done up of the bunch of you someplace really neat, like a local monument or hiking or something. Put it in the frame. Local small school tee-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball caps are also popular, but remember, big schools, NFL, MLB teams, and the like, they can get online.

I got regional gifts for mine, and they really liked everything. I'm from Arizona, so I got the father an Arizona t-shirt (and he wore it a couple nights later!), the mother a turquoise necklace, the two young kids some prickly pear candy, AZ pencils, and a gecko puzzle. I also got a Grand Canyon book (mostly pictures) for they whole family to have. Have fun in Spain!

Perhaps a food basket with wine for the parents, and chocolate for the gifts, then you add in some other delectable foods like pastries...and put that in a weaved basket with that clear plastic wrap around it, and a fun ribbon
