    then costa adeje is perfect fro you there is a lovely harbour puerto colom, nice safe beaches at fanabe, and when you do want the nightlife the veronica's strip is a short stroll away, we went in 2004 and loved it then in 2006 stayed near veronica's strip and that was nice also , you will love it i couldn't understand why people kept going back now but i think tenerife is very moreish and there is something special about it the scenery of the mountains is so stunning and watching the sun go down is beautiful, enjoy

When I go to Tenerife, that's where I always stay. I go to Sunset Harbour which is a one minute walk , just across the road to the beach. Dunno much about Adeje but the Vulcano at the other end of Playa de Las Americas might fit the bill. Quieter area, almost next door to posh bars and designer shops, food excellent. You may be the only people under 60 in the whole hotel but if that doesn't bother you, and if you can get in then I highly recommend it. If not the Vulcano, definitely take a look at that area of PdlA as it fits the bill in terms of being quieter yet within walking distance of the main strip but with lots of local amenities.
