How to know about food in Spain?

I'm going to Spain. Anybody know much about the food there?

    Prices in Spanish supermarkets vary from are to area , and most Spaniards buy only the basics at supermarkets - preferring instead to buy good quality, fresh, local produce from the local markets instead and this is what I would recommend as it is is also often cheaper and of a better standard. It will also allow you to practice your Spanish , but even if you don't speak the lingo you will easily get buy in just pointing at what you require or helping yourself. Supermarkets in Spain are not as extensive as Tesco's or Asda in the UK ( except for maybe the Carrefour group ) and do not compare favorably on price.

Forget about the prices.................No one knows what they will be then............Just go and enjoy all that great food. You can always eat cheap if it is that important to you.

Unfortunately Gordon Brown has devalued the travellers' pound by about 30% so everything in Spain costs Brits a fortune. This is the true cost of voting labour. The pound in your pocket is only worth a Euro. So Everything in Spain is very expensive. But don't feel bad. Your losses all go to make up civil servants' pensions and bankers' bonuses so that Spain is still cheap for them! By 2010, the pound could be in free fall.
