What kinds of clothes do teenage girls wear in Spain..?

I studied abroad in Spain a couple summers ago. They DO NOT wear jeans or Flip flops! That screams American (and you don't want to be a typical American). The girls down there didn't wear extremely short shorts either (unless on the beach). They always seemed to be dressing up, even if just walking down the street. I felt as though everything I wore was too revealing. Think Fashion and sophistication.

well I live in Southern Spain on the costa del sol and all the girls in my school (non uniform ) wear shorts and t-shirts but that is during the day especially since a few weeks ago at nine in the morning it was 34 ºC so the further the way you are from the beach the hotter it's going to be keep that in mind. most of the girls I know shop at Burshka, Zara and places like that. Here in Barcelona everything except nudity and topless goes. Albani's list is a good one. Zara, H&M seem always to be busy. Flip flops are to stop you burning your feet on the beach but leather fashion ones are all the rage every summer.
