I need useful information about the Canary Islands.

How long do u need left on a uk passport to travel to canary islands, main land Spain or balerics ?

  • I am traveling soon and do not know if I need to fast track this service for a new passport for my daughter or it will be ok to travel with 2 months left on it.

Although 6 months is usual, it is not necessary for Spain. Tumbit is right. For Spain the Foreign Office advise that "There is no minimum passport validity requirement but your passport must be valid for the planned period of your stay."

For an EU citizen travelling within the EU a passport or a national ID card (not issued by the UK) valid for the duration of the trip is enough.

6 Months. A passport renewal will take around 2 weeks, also they add the time left from the old passport onto the new one. She will be refused entry with 2 month remaining.
