What is your opinion about Catedral de la Almudena of Madrid?

    It's quite beautiful, and different from others Cathedrals that you can visit in the rest of Spain. PS. The King who lose his wife was Alfonso XII, the project of that cathedral was made in XVI century by the King Felipe II (the same who ordered to build El Escorial), but finally it wasn't started until 1883 when the King Alfonso XII gave the space to build it thanks to his wife Mercedes who was a devote of the Virgin of La Almudena (and who later died and was buried firstly in El Escorial, but later was buried inside the Cathedral in year 2000)
