Can I use my Bank of America ATM card at Barclays or Deutsche Bank ATMs in Spain without incurring fees?

  Be sure of one thing, Spanish banks are painful to use. (Allow plenty of time if you need to actually go inside a bank & I hope you speak enough Español too!) Some ATMs will sting you more in terms of fees than others but in any case, the banks will get their pound of flesh from your transactions no matter what. So the answer is no, you’ll incur fees regardless. I learnt to take out larger amounts infrequently. There are pickpockets on the subways so split up your cash & watch yourself, especially when it’s busy or you’ve been drinking. If you w/draw small amts frequently, you’ll rack up fees super fast.
