How do i tell my parents i want to pursue a career in acting ? ?

    If you have never been in a school play, I cannot take you seriously, either. You have no idea if you have any ability, so why would you want to be an actor? You also have no idea how difficult it is to become and actor or what someone has to do to become an actor. It takes years and years of preparation. I think you are just fantasizing about being on TV. Be in a few plays first and see if you get good roles and do them well. Then think about being an actor.

Hey Perhaps join a few drama clubs to see if you enjoy it and to show your parents you are interested in it. If you do a production and actually show your parents then they will start to see you are good at it then talk to your parents about it.

You don;t exactly have to tell her. i mean it's your life and if she wants to be supportive that's fine. But if not..hey that your dream not her. However, just at first I think you should slowly start doing school plays. Don't get an agent just yet. Find a school in your local town.Once they see how committed you are I'm sure they'll realize it's what you want to do... Besides do you know how many actors were laughed at and weren't taken seriously for it?

Well think to yourself clearly - is acting/drama what I really want to be doing? if so think again, who will understand more your mum or dad then tell which one you think you will trust more then hopefully that one will understand and tell your other parent and then maybe you can go to a drama school and carry on acting/drama :) hope i've helped

Not yet, (unless you need their support) best thing to do is to carry on yourself, get involved with school production or am dram and also do something wise about it and go see a careers advisor and get lots of information and advice on acting as a career (don't worry if they tell you itsrisky, it's their job to make sure you know the facts) what you will have is information/knowledge and proof of your commitment. Then invite them to the show, put in a good performance and then tell them if you don't pursue it you will always wonder what may have happened and everything you do instead will be a poor substitute and of course let them see how happy it makes you.

It's great you want to be in acting so what i would do would be to go do some research like average pay per year and things also cool facts things that really make you happy about it if it does make you happy that is great and then go to your parents and start telling them the facts you found in random order but so they sound good together and after a good fact say something like well, i thought about it and did research and i really think as my carrier i would really like to act and save the really good facts for after you say that so you can back up your choice hope it works
