How do actors/actresses cry in movies?

Real tears and in film or TV you have time to get into the moment and could shoot the same scene over and over until you get what you want. It's not like theater which is live.

What they can do is they are really good actors. Sometimes the actors they work with are so good that it makes them cry. Usually what they do is picture something that is sooooo sad that it makes them cry, once they connect with that picture, they are able to control there feelings from there. Or they think of something from long ago in there past that has made them cry ever sense or something that would be tragic. I don't know but I can say for myself that I can make myself cry like any time I want. Like sitting here right now, I can randomly start crying(making myself do so) I guess I am just really good at controlling certain functions of my body.

If their really good actors the tears will just come naturally, because they will be in the moment and have to relate to their character.

Well sometimes they're real tears. Thinking of a sad memory can cause them to cry.

lol my sister thinks the same as you, umm they spray something into their eyes. if youve seen pearl harbor the guys pretend to put something into their eyes to make themselves cry but there not thats what they use, im pretty sure :/ good question tho!
