How do actors and actresses fake sex scenes in movies?

    No it's not real. And it's also not romantic or 'hot' in any sense at all. It's very uncomfortable even if you are completely comfortable with the person you are doing it with. You have the lighting men, camera men, directors and many other people watching, so it's a very uncomfortable experience. You have to be a very good actor/actress to pull off these scenes successfully. Most of the time they are completely butt naked, but other times a special 'cup' is designed to cover up the important parts, either that or a stunt double is pulled in too take place of the actor/actresses body. eg- in stardust michelle pfeiffer had a body double for her scene in the mirror. All in all it's a challenging experience but most cope well as it's just another scene to them. And all the sexual noises, are not exactly hard to pull off, same goes for the look of pleasure.

Not of course it's not real. If it were real it would be pornography. They usually just roll around and make movements and noises. Personally I think it would be really awkward to do a sex scene.

it isn't real, as far my knowledge. it is acting , they may edit the scene and using advance technology they will take individual shots and then edit it to a single scene..

they just fake it, what do you mean how. If someone paid you (an actor) a set amount in the thousands to be in a movie, I'm sure you'd say yes too and fake it just as well ;o)

Sometimes, not really having sex doesn't mean you have to "fake" it in front of the whole crew. I have worked with directors who would clear the set of extra personnel during sex scenes to create a private environment to allow the actor and actress to just kind of "play it out" naturally. I have also known actors and actresses who are comfortable with each other, that having sex scenes is not all that artificial at all.

its not real. From an interview i watched with Hunter Parrish who plays Silas Botwin on weeds he says he had to wear a special "sock" its like a little fabric attached to something like a thong..nude colored of course .. Although there have been plenty of rumors of some certain scenes not being entirely fake..ex Factory Girl- hayden christensen and sienna miller. I'm sure it was fake but it was def intense..
