    You could try an 8 inch but the wider you go the more difficult it is to learn flip tricks. So get an 8 inch if you want to ride vert and half pipe or if you think that you will still be able to learn how to do flip tricks. I would recommend going into your local skate shop and standing on a few decks in the shop and ask the workers for advice on what they think. But Its mainly personal preferences, what ever feels good for you. If an 8 inch feels to big for you you could try a deck in between a 7.75 and an 8 something like a 7.8 or 7.9. Hope you find the right size deck

try out an 8 that will be good probably a 7.5 that is tiny haha, i skate 8 2.5, but just get whatever feel comfortable to you just stand on the deck before you buy it and see what size feels the best for you
