What type of skateboard is the best?

    It's really more of a personal preference. I prefer flip because they're light-weight and I like their shape and designs. But yeah...flip, baker, darkstar, zero, plan-B, etc. are all good brands. I'd stay away from world industries and element, though...just a tip. Also I don't know if you've thought about it but blank decks are good too. Cheaper, and good quality (usually). Edit: you could go for the more expensive/stronger/lighter carbon-fiber deck but it soudns like you might be fairly new to skating so I wouldn't go for one of those unless you're going though a deck-a-month.
