How do I convince my parents to let me get an Airsoft gun?

Airsoft is a safer way of shooting but more thrilling than the good ol nerf days , just tell em that it'll teach you gun safety as you will always treat it as its loaded, and if they don't let you have one, enjoy black ops

Talk about how it's mainly for target practice and how you will wear appropriate face protection and never shoot animals or people (unless you do want to play airsoft with your friends. Other than that, it's really impossible to convince people who are just flat out against airsoft guns. They are your parents anyway. Also maybe you can show them a simple spring powered airsoft gun. Like a smalll one that looks like a handgun. They usually shoot pretty good for their price ~$20. Me and my friends all had cheap wal-mart p226s and still beat another team all with electric guns. So it might not be a hinderance.

If their worried about your safety, why don't you try getting a mini electric gun. They shoot at only 150 fps on average which is not painful/dangerous at all. If they still refuse ask if you can get one for target shooting and that they can lock it up when not being used. If you show them that you can respect having an airsoft gun, they might let you use it in a war!
