What kind of atv should I buy?

It would be best to get clues from your husband into what he wants in an atv, there is so much to choose from you could get him something he really hates buy one of us saying it's a good atv. Hondas were good back in the day (90's) now they have gone down hill. Polaris 4x4's are junk don't bother, suzuki, and arctic cat both use the same engines and are great quality atvs, yamaha and honda make the best sport atvs while suzuki, AC, yamaha and can am make the best 4x4 atvs. Most dealers will sell you the most expencive thing out there unless you let them know exatclly what you want. anything ranging from 400cc-700cc in a 4x4 model is good enough and anythng from 250cc-450cc in a sport model is a great atv. Stay away from teh chinese atvs for now, they make a great tear up and who cars if you wreck it atv but not a good quality one.

get a Honda...........not china crap.if he hunts get a 4 wheel drive if it is for sport riding get a sport model

Don't buy a Chinese or Korean ATV unless you buy from an established dealer with a service department. If you buy from a website who will service it? All snowmobile and Japanese motorcycle manufacturers make quality ATVs. Anything from one of those companies 400 CCs or larger should be good for him. I recommend Polaris or Arctic Cat because both make good machines and are American made. The Polaris Sportsman 500 is a great machine with a reasonable price tag.
