I think that you should get an m16 or m4 and put a tight bore barrel. with that you ll be able to go full auto and still be pretty accurate. a sniper is a waste if your going to play with a bunch of people. if there is any wind it will be impossible to hit your target.

don't get a bolt action sniper rifle, you should get an M16 with a tightbore barrel and scope of some sort. a little bit more expensive but it pays itself off with your ability to take repeat shots that are accurate and able to fight your way out of a hairy situation when everything feels like its taken a turn for the worst. murphy's law should be enough to convince you of this. airsplat.com has pretty decent mid level m16's that run about that price.they also have the scopes and tightbore barrels available.

I would say the JG BAR-10 is the best for that price. It is $140 and is extremely accurate for airsoft. Although it has slightly less fps than the L96 series, the durability and accuracy are the best of even some $500 rifles I have seen and used. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2493
