I'm new to AirSoft Guns and I need help?

Crosman makes some of the worst branded airsoft guns on the market. The R76 shouldn't cost more than $50. It's cheap plastic on the outside, the internals are junk, and worse, it has a giant-*** spring in there. Far too powerful for it to logically be able to operate with. it breaks, fast. It's that simple. it's inaccurate, cheaply made, Crosman junk, and nothing more. Since you didn't specify what you intend to use it for, where you intend to use it, or what firearms you like the look or feel of, I can't make suggestions. i can only link you to a list of retailers and send you on your way. http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums/index.php?topic=34389.0 I suggest AirsoftGI, they're the best retailer in the US, if not worldwide. You won't find any bullshit information, there's nothing low quality sold by them, they test all their products prior to shipping them out, and they have one of, if not the best employee teams in the industry. Code "gitv" for 10% off all orders. The only protection you need is a set of good quality goggles. Do NOT skimp on eye protection. ASGI sells some great goggles for under $30. You'll need a rifle bag or similar device to transport it in, though. It's illegal to just waltz down the street carrying a replica firearm. And, as said before, all airsoft guns sold in the US are required by law to have a 6mm+ blaze orange tip. It is not, however, legally required to keep it on unless you're transporting or publicly displaying (such as in a shop) said airsoft gun.

No listen to me!! that guys an idiot... i hav this aeg and 7 others and i must say its probuly the best gun for the price. i mean the fps its amazing hopup is equal to or better than any aegs i have and i hav echo 1, kwa, jg, and g@g. you definetly should get it if u a begginer... its reliable and packs a punch. the gear box its insane so u could upgrade the mah on your batterie but make sure it fits in the compartment. a red dot goes buitifaly and is wat i hav on mine. ok and for ammo go with the crosman .20 gram ammo i persanoly love the stuff and it works great and is flauless. who ever said that the crosman aegs suck aviecly havent had any. for crosman aegs iv had the r72 and 4 and 6 and 5. the r76 is good. trust me i am obbsessed with noing this stuff.... if u want go to airsoftgi and check out the echo1 mp5s there insane and cheaper than this for some... hoped this helped and u pick me

1) it does suck because it's a cheapo walmart gun. 2) don't buy off of amazon.com if you can go to walmart and get one 3) for that price, you can buy MUCH better ones at your local airsoft shop 4) go to google.com and google (your city here) airsoft and it should give you a map to all of them near you 5) for $150 you can buy an EXCELLENT beginner gun. I recommend JG because it's cheap, powerful, and somewhat reliable. 6) ALL airsoft guns have an orange tip (it's against federal law to sell one that doesnt have an orange tip) 7) I owned 1 walmart rifle. it sucks. it shoots no more than 20 feet accurately. 8) READ UP ON MAINTENANCE. Don't fry your battery by charging it too long (they are expensive to replace). Clean your gun often; there are LOTS of tutorials on how to clean your gun. Ask how to maintain your gun at the airsoft place, they will tell you everything you need to know. 9) Don't buy online guns, you have to be 18 for one, and you dont have the ability to take it to the local shop to get warranty work done if it breaks within 14-30 days depending on the manufacturer warranty. Go to blowbackarmory.net and take a look at their airsoft guns. Their AEG line up is pretty small, but they carry the whole Echo-1 line up which includes the battery+charger. They also have some nice pistols at very decent prices.
