What is the best marker to use when trying to make a paintball sniper rifle?

    Honestly...its kinda pointless to do. Most Paintball fields aren't big enough, markers just don't have the range and games move too fast to be an effective TRUE sniper (lie and wait, popping single shot kills w/o being detected). But you can have a reasonably accurate marker with good paint and a quality barrel (length matters little other than appearance). Tippman's Flatline barrel system adds range...but you have to turn the velocity down which can cause bounces instead of breaks at distance. Closed bolt markers like Autocockers are said to be more consistant/accurate than blow-back markers as well.

You can get just about whatever marker you want as long as it has a sniper kit that will fit the gun. You can convert your current marker into one or buy one that already has the kit with it. I just like the Tippman cause you can get it fairly cheap but it is a great gun and is very dependable. Lots of kits to convert your gun including a few sniper kits.
