What should I get as a woodsball/speedball paintball gun.?

there are lots of different guns you could get like the ion xe, pmr, mini and many others but you should just go to www.pbreview.com to read all the reviews people have about the guns you are thinking of getting.

I recommend proto matrix rails or smart parts ions for both woodsball and speedball since they are both fast, quiet and efficient. Spyders are also great beginner guns for woodsball and speedball, but you may grow out of it fast and wish you had gotten something a little better...I've been there.

So $400 for the entire setup? Gun, hopper & tank? Need a mask, too? I'd say reserve up to $80 for a good mask (look for comfort & thermal lenses) unless you already have one you like. Well, your gun choice may be limited to your air source choice. Do you want co2 or hpa? Can you get hpa refills easily? Some people can't or won't, especially if they don't play on legit paintball fields. So i'm going to assume you'll be using co2, which is fine for recreational usage. Smart Parts Vibe is probably the first true electro designed for co2 usage - regulator is safe to use with co2 & the board is capped at 11 bps. Now 11 bps isn't very high but SP did this to prevent the gun from freezing up, since co2 has a tendency to cause that at higher firing rates. The Vibe also has 3 modes - semi (the normal mode), 3-shot burst & full-auto. So it suits you're needs. And at $140 new, you've got plenty of money for a good hopper (Halo/Reloader B or VLocity on the high end, Revolution/Reloader II on the low end), a co2 tank (available in various sizes but a 16 oz is a nice average size one) & your first case of paint.
