What is skateboarding deck size better?

What size deck is best for pop when skateboarding and what brand is best for pop?

My boyfriend skateboards. He says Real is the best for pop. he says to go with an 8 to 8.2 He also says element loses pop within the first two weeks. As for Chocolate, they are better for flip tricks than pop. He says its because its more concave. Hope that helps.
