Could you give me Airsoft Advice?

Anybody who plays airsoft please give some advice for batteries?

  • I'm getting one of those Airsoft Tavor 21's soon, any battery recommendations?

  • Answer:

I agree with Wyatt. Your gun is programed to fire at a certain ROF. Since we are talking about and electric gun, the gear box can be adjusted so much to change the rate of fire, thus you have a little flexibility. But I'd suggest a higher voltage. And I would also suggest getting another battery as well. This way you will have a back up in the field, in the event that your first runs out of juice. Let me know if you have any more questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. Have a great day!

You want a battery that will fit in the battery compartment of course, if you research the weapon you should be able to find what type of battery it would fit. I would stay way from LiPoly, your internals might not be able to handle that. Unless you KNOW its LiPoly ready, then by all means go LiPoly. With regular batteries, you want the highest voltage you can get (probably 9.6v or 10.8v), and the most important thing for longer games is the Milliamp Hours (mAh), you can roughly estimate it that 1mAh = 1 round fired. So while a 1200mAh 10.8v battery might sound great, it wouldn't last very long without charging it. If you can get a Large Type battery, go for something with like 3600mAh, it will last practically all day long. I would reccomend Intellect as a brand for batteries, they make good ones that will last quite a while, just look at the reviews for the batteries, gives you a good idea of what is good and what is crap.

Fransis is wrong. You want any battery that fits but with higher voltage, gives you a better ROF (rate of fire) But does not increase FPS ( feet per second) Dont get a lower voltage battery, it will put unnecessary strain on the gearbox. plus you ROF will decrease dramatically

I got a huge battery but with a low voltage so its lasts for ages.
