Answer:
I had a Flatline barrel for my A-5, but I was never really impressed with it's performance. Before I sold my A-5, I ended up switching over to a J&J Performance Edge barrel kit and I left the Flatline at home. There are better barrels to invest in. Buy a Palmers Brass, Lapco Big Shot, or J&J Performance barrel instead. Then if you want to increase your range, add an Apex tip.

They are def. a nice addition to your marker... but I'd try and scrounge one up on eBay or amazon.... the $100 price tag sucks... yeah, you can get alot more accuracy, you'll prly be able to hit someone (assuming you're a decent shot) from 150ft away using the a5 and the flatline. Def. a rec gun though... I wouldn't recommend it for speed ball, the flatline's not made for high volumes of fire.

Buy it but not as a replacement to your stock one. Buy a good barrel kit as your primary. Use of the flatline is great at scenarios, it's picky on paint but works well. Many say you loose accuracy, it's not true if you have the proper paint match. What you will loose is velocity since the ball will travel farther. That's not a bad thing like so many people seem to think and here's why, first, just being able to get balls deep into enemy territory lets em know your close enough. Second, there is always a chance a ball launched 150 feet may break once it hits it's target. Paintballs are funny that way. Don't use it with an e-grip firing over 15bps as chances are you will turn the barrel into a blender. Once again, a great barrel but you must pick your spots with it.

It does add distance but it kills the accuracy. I have an 14in opsgear m4 barrel and it spanks the tar out of the flat line. It may sacrifice about three feet but it will it target head on, something the flat line cant do Im looking to sell my flat line on ebay soon. Look for it!

i would go to ebay or find an APEX barrel A5 & BT are threaded Alike

it gives you great accuracy and it doesn't chop as much as the barrel that comes with the A-5 but personally i would prefer an "evil pipe"
