when you are starting to TTC, then start your prenatal vitamin. also, if you smoke, quit if you drink, stop for now! should make for a healthy baby!

start taking it at least 30 days before conceiving (ideally). I started taking prenatals a month before TTC and conceived the second day we tried. So I believe highly in prepping your body. If you drink or smoke either reglarly or recreationally cut that out.

I think all women of child-bearing age are supposed to take folic acid its a standard in women's multi-vitamins. I think I've read that if you are ready to be pregnant then "act pregnant". Eat healthy foods, exercise, avoid cigarette smoke and alcohol and drink plenty of water. Healthy bodies produce healthy babies.

You should already be taking folic acid. Most multivitamins have some in there. Having it in your system months before you even get pregnant can greatly help having a healthy baby. Having a good exercise routine can help also. Cutting down on caffeine, stop smoking and drinking, things like that that are kind of duh things.

start taking prenatal vitamins it will have the correct amount of folic acid and every other nutrient your need.

take folic acid now! also take prenatal vitamins (which usually has folic acid in them). Do yoga and/or pilates! eat healthy. if you smoke, quit or smoke less if you can't. if you dont have health insurance do your research. and when you are preggo and have written proof, sign up for WIC (not just for free stuff, but they have great nutritionists).

prepare yourself mentally and physically for the excruciating pain and how at that exact moment your going to be saying very colourful words and asking yourself why the fk did i bang my hubby?? . LOL. what is this your first pregnancy? just let it happen, don't you work or have a life? when it happens it happens. if you want some sorta high smoke some weed, but c'mon.
