im not sure if sports authority is the best place to get a board, but i'd look for enjoi (i learned to kickflip with an enjoi) i think width is more important, 7.75 is good

the deck should be about 31 (wutever measurement they use) in length and about 7.65 in width.Ive never shopped for a deck at sports authority if you really want a good brand name deck then you should find a zumies or a local skate shop. brands to keep an eye out for : alien workshop organika habitat element plan B world industries(team model) santa cruz almost chocolate girl enjoi darkstar creature dgk (hope you love skateboarding) =D
