Can you use an airsoft pistol for paintball.?

You could buy 6mm paintballs and use it in it. However it won't be very accurate, or effective whatsoever. And guessing that the airsoft pistol is a cheap springer it won't work long. Actually, it doesn't even really matter if it's a cheap springer, the 6mm paintballs can bust inside your mag and gun both, which won't be easy to clean, especially since a lot of cheap springers don't even open up. Unless you want a cheapo P.O.S. that won't last long, and won't work well while it does last, then just save up the money and get a halfway decent marker (paintball gun). Even WalMart has decent markers, and are relatively cheap. If I remember right, the Spyder MR series can be found at Wally world for ~$100. Even a Voltage is alright if kept maintained right, and I think it's around ~$70-80. Or get a better one like the Tippmann 98. Very common starter gun, and easily customizable. About $165. I've seen all of those guns used, and they work well enough to get you by and have some fun. I own the Spyder VS1 that I bought at WalMart and it's great. ~$150 and it comes with electronic eyes which will help to keep from breaking paint whatsoever. It does have a high velocity though even on it's lowest setting, so some adjustment of some form might be deemed necessary. Now none of those will be tournament ready, but just for a recreational gun, any of those will work fine.

Like the previous post stated, buying used from craigslist, ebay, paintball forums, etc, is a good option to save money. There aren't too many paintball pistols available that you may like for a price you can afford but it's worth a shot.

yes you could do what the person before me said and have a lot of paint on your shirt because spring airsoft doesn't shoot that far you could always get a paintball shotgun that will outrange the pistol by 20 yards

no, you cant unless you under go it for modding but that lots of work. I just say go buy one direct. Not at a local store but online or craigslist.org is a good resource
