Dude, trust me, please, hear me out get a pro model skateboard. At least a complete skateboard. It will cost like 70 euros for a complete skateboard and a crappy 10euro skateboard will not feel anything like a real skateboard. Plus they get are really good for beginners. I would also suggest getting bones speed cream. It cost like 5£ at any skateshop or online skateshops. But, please get at least a pro model complete skateboard. Try ccs.com for a complete or go to any skateshop near you. they will help you.

Most crappy discount/toy store boards come with the axle nuts overtightened. Take a wrench (spanner) and loosen the nuts 1/4 turn. They also come with lousy bearings and wheels that are very small. Both don't help the speed on a skateboard.

You need skateboard bearings. They go between the wheel and the axle. When you take the wheel off of the truck, you'll notice the bearing is the innermost part. Replacing these with more expensive bearings will increase your speed and the duration of your forward momentum. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sugexp=les%3B&cp=14&gs_id=1p&xhr=t&q=skateboard+bearings&safe=off&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&biw=1280&bih=709&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=0tgqUKqHK-eA2QWZ74DYDQ

rockets... Hey if it worked for richard hammond why cant it work for you

Shaun

go to a skate shop and get some bones reds bearings they cost around $15 but it's worth it

Mr. W

you could replace the wheels and trucks prob a little cheaper than a board. but you should just invest in a new one anyway if its something you like to do i used to go through about 4 a month when i first started

a bit of wd40 and loosen up the wheels a bit

Jack

Not much you can do but oil the wheels , everything else will cost money , and youd be better buying a more expensive skateboard than trying to do up your existing one. Possibly buy a second hand board ?

You need to get yourself some decent bearings if you want it to go faster. I'd imagine on a 10 pound skateboard they would be pretty bad, you can get some reasonably good bearings at an affordable price. http://www.skatewarehouse.com/bearings.html
