What is the best type of AEG Airsoft gun for me?

VERY powerful? well for power that is nigh on terrifying, the KWA M4A1 WILL DELIVER. I have done a lot of personal research in this field to try and find an airsoft gun that was well built and affordable. For a long time I swore by Echo 1 and JG because even their metal guns remained affordable. However, that all changed when I stumbled upon the DBoy AK74. When I heard about this gun I thought ti was too good to be true. It is all metal, has real wood (or you can skip the wood and save $10) and it assembled really tightly so that it feels solid like a real gun. It come with a battery and charger and it's 7mm gear box cranks out the BBs at 400FPS without breaking a sweat. The gun I was using before this was an Echo1 MP5 full metal. I bought it because it was full metal and shot over 400FPS. This gun, although fully metal, still had creeks and wobbles and I was afraid that it could break. The gear box sounded like they attached a hammer to the inside that banged against the internals foretelling it's inevitable self destruction. When I saw the Dboy I sold my MP5 as fast as I could and bought it, this was the best choice I have made. This gun comes in a couple different types. You can get the U which is a short version good for CQB. You can get the long version with real wood or metal both with folding stocks. All of these are available at the lowest price I have seen anywhere at Airsoftmegastore.com. Some people may say that this is a bad site but I think that is because they think that low prices and good service can not come in the same package. I have used this site several times with out any problems. They did send me a broken clip with my MP5 but they replaced it with out any hassle. As I said I have looked all over for the best gun under $200 and this is it. If you want durability, accuracy, power, RPM, battery life and versatility this is the gun to get. Very powerful as in how much fps? AEGs are always rifles.... there are AEPs which are pistols, but they aren't called AEGs. All AEGs are S-1-2 systems (safety-semi-full auto), save a VERY FEW older ones that might have 3rd bursts. All AEGs are battery operated (although some LPEGs use actual batteries as in AAs and AAAs, but I believe you're referring to a rechargeable nimh, nicd, lipo, and such. As for cheap side, how cheap? You need to be as specific as possible when asking questions if you really want help. I'd stick to the CYMA CM028 AK47 which goes for $95, or a Galaxy MP5 which can range from around $80-100. Guessing you want it that cheap. If you want it between 100-150, a JG or possibly an Echo1 would suffice.

Cheap and good in airsoft rarely go hand and hand To whoever said CYMA made good guns do not listen. A CYMA gear box will be stripped down in about 6 months. D-BOYS has made some leaps and bounds in their quality and their prices have stayed in the $100-200 range. Just remember the more power a gun has the more wear and tear the gears and internals the gun will have, so you need quality internals to have an airsoft gun last.
