Do you think my Mom should let me get a BB gun(air gun/pellet gun) when i have the money to buy it?

You will shoot your eye out. LOL, my sons had BB guns and did not shoot their eyes out. It depends on the maturity of the boy, you have to realize you can hurt someone with a BB gun or kill an animal.

If you are a type of kid who knows and realizes the danger in BB guns and promises (and can) take necessary pre-cautions for yourself and all those around you, I'd say yes. Otherwise a firm NO. My neighbor has a 15 year old who is VERY responsible. But, one night, he let his judgment lapse and shot a BB gun in dark. It shattered my front door glass. He had to pay for the repair. The scary thing was, I was standing there just few minutes ago. The BB gun had enough power to shatter a tampered glass in to bits. He didn't realize he caused this damage until the police came with siren blaring and guns drawn for possible random shooting. My college roommate had one eye missing because of BB gun accident. (and this IS a real story) Think about this.... how responsible are you?

Sure thing, kids in Texas get real guns at age 13 so BB at 16 is nothing, especially if you are a responsible person.

well honest opinion is that you would have more fun with an airsoft gun its a bb gun that shoots 6mm plastic bbs and can be bought anywhere such as walmart gun shops online etc. you can play with friends ie: shoot each other (with proper face protection) and with many guns you cna upgrade them a bb gun limits the "fun" factor to very little since you must treat it as a real gun and cannot shoot indoors etc. so if your looking to have fun around the backyard and with friends consider an airsoft gun
