Would I catch bluegill in late winter early spring. March 14?

I am going fishing up north in Indiana for bluegill, its a small pond and about 50 degrees. Its been cold lately. Do you think I will catch and? If so what bait should I use?

I would go. Try using a piece of night crawler. with a bobber.

Use ultralight tackle with wax worms. If the bites are slow, try some powerbait crappie bites

oh yeah you can catch them right now and you can just about anything...night crawlers, corn, etc. It is really fun to use ultra light tackle since bluegill are such a small fish. good luck-tight lines.
