Heavy line, MAKE SURE YOU USE A LEADER. Ok a red and white spoon, and rooster tails. Only muskellunge ive ever caught was on a rooster tail about the size for small bass.

I live in Southern California, no muskies here that I know of. But, like someone's boyfriend above me said, use big ones. I use big lures for bass and I'm sure a muskie would hit one also.
