I need ideas for a fisherman's gift basket?

I have made and given a good number for gifts and for silent auctions. I use a minnow bucket as the container. Fill it with anything a fisherman can use. Along with the usual fishing items listed in some other answers include bug repellent. A small flashlight and extra batterys. A multi purpose knife like a Letterman's. A small folding rain suit.nylon rope. Maybe a pair of gripper gloves etc These are just some examples of the "extras" I put in mine.

please, please narrow your question... as said before, way, way too many variations in fishing itself.

If your just getting accessories just get a little bit of everything.. a few packs of fishing line ( weight depending on what he fishes for) some nice lures, theres like a jillion different kinds of hooks and lures, weights, maybe a new tackle box to put it all in... go somewhere like bass proshop they have everything under the sun and someone there can help you get the exact stuff you need.

What type of fisherman is he---saltwater, flyfisherman or lake fishing? EDIT and let me know quick. Start with a cooler for a container--everyone needs new ones. If you cannot afford good line , do not buy it at all. Do not get another filet knife, fishermen have 5 at least. A six pack of beer or Cola is a nice addition, Vienna Sausage and saltines or cheese crackers. Get a couple of pretty lures for show, but unless you know what gear he NEEDS you will be wasting money. If you can look at what he uses now---repeat with some of the same brands.
